A New Piece of the Puzzle…
A concrete writing and date inscription was discovered yesterday in the basement near Gus’s Shoe Repair entrance.
The writing had gone unnoticed for decades as it was previously hidden under a standing shelf.
The intent of the inscription appears to document the three people who placed the rear addition floor slab on June 15, 1961.
Our interpretation of the inscription is:
T. C. HELLUM
G. A. SCHLUTER
N. C. STENSAAS
6 – 15 – 61
